Diva Dane and I love what we do. We love sharing. We love the creative process and appreciate the blessings that result.
We greatly appreciate the support we have received after appearing in the newspaper. We have had many new visitors to our site along with some new followers. We have had requests from organizations to teach and show our work. We have had requests for the detailed instructions and template of the Hexie Gone Modern project featured in the paper. If you are still deciding on whether or not you want to make Hexie Gone Modern, please know that it is a quick satisfying project that can be completed within a couple of evenings. Just let us know and we will be happy to forward you the pattern. Also if you have not have the opportunity to venture into the modern quilt world, this is a great project to get your feet wet.
Diva Dane and I will have the honor of having pieces on display at Detroit Unity Temple in Detroit, MI in their textile exhibit “TAPESTERIES: Our History Thru Fiber Arts” February 9th thru February 23rd as part of their 2014 African History celebration.
This week is our Detroit Area Modern Quilt Guild meeting and our round robins are due and, as usual, I am still working on it, however, it is coming along well. We selected a fat quarter at the last meeting and had to create a 10 inch block in honor of Valentine’s Day. The block was to be pink or red and could include black and white. The fabric I randomly picked from the bag was red and white hearts. Here is my block….
Until next time…..
